You seem to have an idea how many places called "Neufchatel" (literally
"new castle") there are in France ... :-)

The core of the respective proposal are what mathematicians call
intervals (Ton) or unions thereof, so if you'ld like something other
than the version numbers Andreas suggested, "Thresholds as Intervals
Notation (TIN)" and "Thresholds as Unions of Intervals Notation (TUIN)"
come to mind.

(Note: "tuin" is the Dutch term for "garden".)
