[Nagiosplug-devel] Who uses the package.def file?

Does anyone have an idea whether/how the package.def file¹ in our
repository is (still) used?  As far as I can see, it's not used by
anything in the repository itself, and it's not included in release
tarballs, either.  If no one knows, I'll try out what happens when I
remove the file.
