Initial Comment:
I'm using check_file_age to monitor for stale lock files, which means it's ok for such a file to not exist. The attached patch adds support for an -m (missing) option to make the check return OK if the file is missing rather than CRITICAL.

Patch against Plugin Version (-V output): check_file_age v1750 (nagios-plugins 1.4.13)
Plugin Name: check_file_age
Example Plugin Commandline: /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_file_age -m -f /tmp/blah.lock
Tested on operating system: RHEL5
Tested on architecture: i686
