No. Unless you give the --state-file option it behaves just as the previous version.

No - I put something else up a couple of years ago, that I'll have another
go with at some point.
I am not really interested in git access, I just want to get this functionality
that, I think will improve nagios, into the plugin ... it has been in use for
several months.
