Okay so if I understood everything that had been said INSTALLING couple
possibly be removed... Has someone determined if this is fact? If so we can go
ahead and remove it as the files are identical...
Also I was wondering whether depcomp could be removed from the archive
as well since the 'automake --add-missing --copy' will now bring in the current
version of it allowing for it to be kept up to date along with config.sub and
config.guess... I only mention this as it was one of the most recurring bugs I
have had filed against packages I maintain for Debian that config.sub and
config.guess get out of date and need to be updated for new hardware
platforms... In fact my main Debian package even has an autogen.sh script that
is the recommend'd way of building instead of calling configure directly... I
may go ahead and modify what that project has and add it to the CVS respository
if nothing more than a maintainer script that doesn't get included in
distribution... If we want'd to do that we could also take care of removing
install-sh, missing and mkinstalldirs as well as they could be kept up with the
autotools development...
This is just an idea... I'm not gonna take any action other than testing
locally unless there is some concensus on here...
