the current version does skip interfaces with an ifType of 23 (PPP)
The ifConnectorPresent may not work as well if we have ATM/FR PVCs defined
as virtual interfaces - no connectors :(
It might be possible to make a user-defineable listy of itTypes to ignore
-but that will have to wait till the next release.
