I've been using the plugins from CVS on the 7th (when I submitted a smal 
check_ntp patch) and they've functioned fine.  

Today I ran a cvs update to get the latest check_smtp patch and rid 
myself of the annoying messages and the following plugins broke: 
check_ping, check_disk, check_procs.

Reverting the common.h.in changes that were recently made in CVS fixed 
the problem.  It appears that change has wider implecations, or more 
updates are coming.
